September 2014 Starlooks…

Sorry for this post being late! I thought I scheduled it to post and apparently I only saved it as a draft >.<. My bad! So here it is… And my post for tomorrow is going to be posted late tomorrow  night…

Sept 2014 Starlooks

For those who don’t know Starlooks is a monthly subscription beauty box. It costs $15.00 plus shipping. Shipping price depends on where you live. For example my shipping is only $2.68 and I live in Washington. So I pay 17.68 per month per box. I enjoy getting this box, all the items are the brand Starlooks and they are a top quality makeup line. For the record all the stuff I have gotten sense January have been full size. Not those tiny sample items (^_^). I’ll put a link at the end to where you can sign up too (^_^)

So here’s this month’s box!

Sept 2014 Starlooks card

This is the first thing I noticed when I opened my box. These are Starlooks Lashes in FL9. Well, I’m guessing that’s their number for the style cause I don’t see a name on it. These retail for $13.00.

I’ll admit I don’t wear lashes really sense I wear glasses. Every time I put on lashes they’re just way too long and constantly rub against my glasses. I don’t have any problems with the band or how they feel on it’s just how long they are while having glasses on. So I probably wont get much use out of these.

Starlooks Lashes FL9

This is the next thing I noticed after opening my box. This is a Eye Kohl Pencil in the shade Oracle. It’s a pretty gold. It’ll be nice to use on the lash line or waterline. It’d be nice on the inner corner of the eye. To brighten up that area. This retails for $12.00.

Starlooks Eye Kohl Oracle

The next item I looked at was this Lip Liner. It’s in the shade Roseate. It’s a very pretty pinky mauve shade perfect for a subtle look on the lips. I’ll probably just use this alone with some lip gloss. This retails for $12.00.

Starlooks Lip Pencil Roseate

This is the last item in the box. This is a single shadow in Tan Glow. It’s a beautiful bronze with a pink undertone to it. This retails for $12.00.

I normally don’t put bases under my shadows when I swatch them but this one I had to. The swatch was very sheer to the point my camera barely pick it up. So, this swatch is done over Glamourdolleyes Glitter Fix. It made the shadow  A LOT more vibrant. So, this shadow defiantly needs a base to it,  otherwise it’s a very pretty shadow.

Starlooks Shadow Tan Glow

So that’s it for this month’s box. I enjoyed this box very much and can’t wait for my next one.

If you wish to sign up this is where you can go

September 2014 Glossybox…

For those who don’t know Glossybox is a monthly subscription for high end  beauty Products. It’s 21.00 a month. And you get 5-6 products in each box. These are products that are found around the world. I’ll show you what I got in my September box and if you wish to sign up too I’ll post a link at the end.

The digital director for Harper’s BAZAAR, Joyann King, worked with Glossybox for this month’s box. This box is based off of some of her favorite products…

Sept 2014 Glossybox

The swatches have no base or primer under them. I do that to give ya an idea on how pigmented a product is with out it. I know when I see swatches without primer it gives me an idea on how much I’ll have to work with it to give me the look I’m trying to achieve.

Here’s what I got in this month’s box…

Sept 2014 Glossybox Card

First we got an Essie polish in the shade Madison Ave-Hue. Okay, anyone who knows me knows I don’t like wearing pink. Soooooo…… I’ll probably set this aside for a friend or when my nieces come over. Cause I won’t use it at all… This retails for $8.50.

Essie Madison Ave-hue

This next product is another I don’t like. I tried it out couple times, after getting it in my Ipsy bag, but I don’t like the way it makes my lashes look. I don’t like the way it wears, applies and yeah, I just don’t like it at all. This is not my go to product. The product is…

It’s Benifit They’re Real Mascara. So yeah, this is going into my giveaway pile for friends… This retails for $23.00 full size.

Benifit They're Real

Well, I guess I don’t have much love for this box cause the next product I’m giving away too. That’s cause I can’t stand the smell of it. Whenever I get something from this brand I always give it away cause I really don’t like the scent of it.

It’s Bvlgari Eau Parfumee au the Blanc Conditioner… So yeah, this retails for $45.00 full size. So yeah I wouldn’t buy this product anyways being that high priced. I can get something that smells good for a lot cheaper…

Bvlgari Conditioner

This next brand is alright, I haven’t tried much from them. So I’m eager to try this product out.

Vichy Liftactiv Night Cream. This is supposed to help reduce fine lines and improve skin tone. We’ll see how it goes. Though, I probably won’t purchase full size cause I don’t want to spend that much for a night cream. It’s $50.00 full size…

Vichy Leftactiv Night

I think this next product is the only one I’m somewhat happy with. Though, I wouldn’t have chosen this shade, cause orange tones do not look good on me. But I’ll try to darken it up with a lip liner or something.

OCC Metallic Lip Tar in the shade Authentic. This color is very orange based. It’s pretty but I’ve next looked good in this color. I’ll give it a try and see how it looks but I’m pretty sure I won’t pick it up very often… this retails for $18.00 full size…

OCC Lip Tar Authentic

So that’s it for this month’s box. Granted I wasn’t too happy with a lot of the products, I’ll see what they send out next month. I know we’re getting a nail polish I just hope it’s not pink again. So yeah, I’ll admit I haven’t been too happy with the products I’ve been getting from this box. I’m thinking if I keep getting boxes I’m not happy with I’m just gonna cancel. I’ll wait till after the end of the year to decide. So they have 3 boxes to try and keep me from canceling. We’ll see what happens…

September 2014 Ipsy…

For those who don’t know, Ipsy is a monthly subscription service for beauty products. It costs $10.00 a month. And you get 4 – 5 products. The products are decent size too. Not those samples that give you 1 use or if your lucky 2 or 3 lol. They always come in a little bag that’s themed for the month. I’ve been very happy with this subscription. See what I got for this month and decide if you want to sign up too… I’ll put the link at the end of the post. (^_^) Oh and another thing is when you do reviews for the products in your bag on the Ipsy site they’ll customize future bags to your liking. So if you review something and don’t like it, you will be less likely to get a product like that again. Sense doing those mini reviews, I’ve been happier with my bags (^_^). So here’s what I got got September…

Sept 2014 Ipsy

Sept 2014 Ipsy Card

Everything came in this faux leather bag that’s accentuated with metal square studs by the zipper. This is a cute bag and I like it better then the ones I’ve gotten in the past.

Sept 2014 Ipsy Bag

Nourish Organic Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser. I’m not sure how I like this product yet. I keep forgetting it when I go to wash my face >.< So still waiting to try it out.

Nourish Organic Moisturizing Cream Face Cleanser

Mitchell and Peach Luxury Hand Cream. Okay, I’ve tried this product before, I got it in a glossybox awhile ago. I don’t like it. It makes me itch and I got tiny blisters around where my wedding ring is. I dunno why but when my skin doesn’t like something that’s where I get blisters first. So yeah, this is going to a friend.

Mitchell and Peach Luxury Hand Cream

Crown Brush Infinity Shadow/Crease Duet Brush. I like brushes and always happy when I get one hehe. Also this is mini size so it’ll fit in your purse or clutch no problem if you need to do quick fixes on the go. (^_^)

Crown Brush Infinity ShadowCrease Duet Brush

Pacifica Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil in Gun metel. I like the brand Pacifica, never tried the liner before so this will be nice to try out.

Pacifica Natural Water-Proof Eye Pencil in Gun metel

CAILYN Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss in Love Affair. I like this, it left a nice stain to my lips after it wore off. I’m also a sucker for red glosses and lipstcks so this was a perfect item for me hehe.

CAILYN Art Touch Tinted Lip Gloss in Love Affair

So that’s what I got in this months bag. Can’t wait to see what we get next month.

Here’s where you can sign up too:

First Picture Makeup Tutorial…

Okay so this is my first picture tutorial for a makeup look. I hope it’s okay. Let me know how you like it.

So first I’ll start with my eyes…

I started by priming with Urban Decay Primer Potion. Then on top of that I used Maybellene Color Tattoo in Cool Crush.

I blended out the Cool Crush to be a sheer wash of color. I was using it as a base for the shadow I put on top. Sorry the image is a bit blurry. The rest of the pics aren’t blurry like this one.

So over that I used Glamourdolleyes September OTM in the shade Never Be Royals. (If you wish to know what the OTM is I have it in my last post.) Anywho, this color is a nice soft blue with a pink duo-chrome to it. Though, it’s hard to see the duo-chrome effect in the picture.

If you don’t have this color, any light blue will work with this look.

GDE OTM Never be Royals Sept 2014

I just used a fluffy blending brush and swepted the color over where I placed the Color Tattoo.

This is Glamourdolleyes Gingerbread Girl. It was a limited edition of the Christmas collection a couple years back. But any medium brown will work for this look.

I picked up the color using a blending brush that wasn’t really fluffy but more of a precise blending brush if that makes sense. I placed it in the crease and did a concentrated line of it. Then went back in with the brush I used with Never Be Royals, I didn’t add any color to it, and blended it out. I went back and forth doing that till I got it how I wanted it.

I use this for my brow bone all the time. I din’t have a swatch of it cause it’s the same color as my skin. So it really wouldn’t pick up on my camera. You could also just use your face powder to do this too. I just like using this.

So yeah, it’s not too obvious that I used it. But it did blend out the line a little bit.

After I did that I used a custom glitter I got from Glamourdolleyes called Ghost. I named it that cause I was watching ghost busters when I placed the order and got another custom glitter called Slimer. I plan on using that for a look too hehe but that’s for a later post. Anyways, this color was close to the shadow I got and I wanted to use it.

GDE Glitter Ghost

I used Glitter Fix with it and this is a baby sample I got with my Custom glitters. It’s so freaking cute!

So I patted the Glitter Fix on and then took a stiff brush to pick up the glitter with and held a napkin under my eye to catch the fallout of the glitter. What glitter that did get on my face I used some tape to take it off. Best way to get glitter off the face.

This is one of my favorite felt tip liners It’s Jesse’s Girl Waterproof Liquid Liner. It’s easier for me, sense I wear glasses, to use pen liners than to use gel.

jg liner

So yeah, I did a baby wing at the end and took it underneath to my lower lash line. Only going about half way on the lower lash line.

Then I went back in with Gingerbread Girl(that I used in the crease) and lined the rest of the lower lash line with a pencil brush. Though, looking at this picture you can’t really tell it’s there lol. Oh and I blended it out with a smudge brush onto the liquid liner. Making sure not to blend out to low under the bottom lashes.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. This is my favorite mascara right now. I’m pretty sure I’m gonna buy the full size when this sample size runs out. Unless I find something else that I like better hehe.

I only do one coat of this mascara. I only do more when I’m trying to get a doll like look to my lashes. They’re actually pretty long, any longer and I get mascara all over my glasses. You can’t see in this picture but my lashes go up to my brows, if I curled them you could see better but I don’t usually curl them.

So yeah, that’s the finnished eye look. What I used on the rest of my face…

This is a new blush from Glamourdolleyes called Nouveau Riche. It’s part of the Runway Collection. That is a permanent collection. The swatch is concentrated in one spot I’ve blended it out on my cheeks so it’s not too strong.

This is a Glamourdolleyes Shadow in Exposed. Yes, I use a gray shadow to contour my face. Bronzers have a tendency to look really muddy on my skin or really orange. Sense I’m so fair.

GDE Exposed

Speaking of how fair skinned I am, I used Manic Panics Vampires Veil in Moonlight. This is the lightest shade aside from white. So yeah, I’m naturally pretty pale and I love it. My husband makes fun of me and says I need to tan. I told him I’ll just end up looking like a oompa-loompa if I did lol. I’ll stick with my vanilla tan (^_^).

On the lips I used Revlons Lip Butter in Red Velvet. I really like this color and leaves a nice stain on my lips after it wears off.

Revlon Red Velvet Lipbutter

So that’s all I used to do this look.

If you wish to purchase from one of the companies used you can go to these links: I love their products and have quite a bit of them. I will try to do looks outside of using Glamourdolleyes but no promises sense I like their products more then anyone’s so yeah. I just got this foundation and I’m loving it! This liner can also be found at Rite Aid.

The primer potion and mascara can be purchased at or

The lip butter can be found at any drugstore that sells Revlon or Ulta.

If you have any suggestions on looks, then let me know in the comments. I’ll do my best to do them. I hope you enjoyed this post. If you did please give it a like(^_^)

Glamourdolleyes OTM September 2014…

For those who don’t know OTM stands for Of The Month. It’s a subscription from You can sign up to get a limited edition shadow for that month. You can only sign up on the 8th of the month. It’s not a reacuring subscripstion. If you want to get it more than just one month you have to purchase a subscription for how many months you want. And if they’re available. There’s only a limited number of subscriptions so you kinda gotta stalk the site the day of to make sure you get one. They tend to sell out fast. This year they’re trying to make every month an extra month, but no promises. Which means you’ll get, not only the shadow but an axtra item wheather it be makeup based or fashion based. This month was an extra month (^_^). Oh and they include candy in all of them pretty much hehe.

So onto what I got for this month (^_^)…

GDE OTM Sept 2014

They send a card with the descriptions of the products they send in the OTM. So this is the front and back of the card.

GDE OTM Sept 2014 Card

Everything came in this cute little baby blue and white polka dot bag.

GDE OTM Sept 2014 Bag

The color of the month is Never Be Royals it’s so pretty! I love blue. I’m a sucker for blue shadow. Ya can’t really see in the pictures but when I moved my hand in the light this gave off a duo-chrome affect. of pink and blue. It’s very pretty (^_^). I Actually did a base with this one lol. I used the next product that came in the bag.

GDE OTM Never be Royals Sept 2014

This is a new Item called Glitter Fix releasing on October 15 2014. It’s a permanent product and it’s really nice. As you can see with the picture above it intensifies the color and helps the glitter in the shadow stick down pretty darn good. It’s also good to use with glitter lol like our next item we got hehe

GDE Glitter Fix

We also got a glitter tube in the shade Unicorn Tears. This is pretty with purple, pink, silver and blue glitter from what I can see. Both swatches are over the glitter fix (^_^).

GDE Glitter Unicorn Tears

And as I said in the beginning we get candy with every OTM. This month we got Unicorn candy. Never had it. So no thoughts on it at the moment.

GDE OTM Sept 2014 Candy

That’s it for this months OTM from Glamourdolleyes. Very happy with this month as with every month. I don’t remember ever being disappointed with them. I’m excited to see what we get next month (^_^).

September 2014 Julep…

Got my September Julep box. For those who don’t know Julep is a beauty subscription box. They say the first box is free but ya just gotta pay for shipping which is only $3.00. So that’s not that bad. But if you continue to get the box, I spend $21.89 per box. Though, they have added the option to completely customize your box. It’s costs $24.99 and I don’t mind not being able to completely customize what I get in my box. I just choose which style of box I want. I usually get the Bombshell box, mostly cause that one almost always has the colors I like. You also have the option to add stuff to your box for a cheaper price then on their store. Including polishes for $4.99. Let my know what you think and I’ll put a link at the end of the post if you’d like to try it out too…So here’s what I got for September…

Julep September 2014

As you can see I added polishes to this months box. For the box it self I got…

Julep Card September 2014

This is called Kirby a nice silver glitter polish.

Julep Kirby

This is Eliana its a nice mid-deep blue. reminds me of the ocean for some reason. This went on a little patchy when I swatched it. So it needs at least 2 coats for a nice opaque color payoff.

Julep Eliana

Most of the boxes came with a Plush Pout lip crayon. I got the color Magenta Plum. I almost switched to a nude but I wear plums more so I stayed with this color. Also sense fall is right around the corner.

Julep Plush Pout Magenta Plum

I added on…

This is Mahima. I had to have a gold for fall, well more for Christmas time, hehe. Planning ahead here.

Julep Mahima

This is Ceila. I like mint greens and though this would be pretty to wear.

Julep Ceila

This is Chloe. I don’t have many browns or rusty brown polishes so I added it on to see how it would look on me (^_^)

Julep Chloe

This is Mary Lee. I’m a sucker for deep reds. Oh and it says on the cap that this is a satin finish.

Julep Mary Lee

And of course for adding on 3 or more items I got a surprise Item in my box…

This is Candace. I’m in love! This almost looks exactly like a eye shadow I wear all the time. This just has a light base to it then that shadow. I love it though! Wearing this first hehe.

Julep Candace

This is Daria. I don’t have too many grays so this was a nice surprise (^_^)

Julep Daria

And they also sent candy in it. Not sure what kind they are but the ingredients say there’s pineapple flavor added to it so I’m guessing it’s pineapple lol. Though, I wont be trying it out sense it was processed in a facility that also processes eggs and wheat and those are big no nos for my tummy, so yeah.

August 2014 Glossybox…

For those who don’t know Glossybox is a monthly subscription for high end  beauty Products. It’s 21.00 a month. And you get 5-6 products in each box. These are products that are found around the world. I’ll show you what I got in my August box and if you wish to sign up too I’ll post a link at the end.

This months box celebrated their 3 year anniversary. So that’s how long they’ve been around and I’ve been signed up with them sense they started. It has been interesting getting the boxes over the years. I’ve found products that I never heard of now love and got to try products that I would not have had the money to try otherwise. They’ve also put in brands that I already love and can’t live without. There have been boxes I wasn’t happy with as with all subscription boxes there’s always gonna be one month that you’re not happy with.

Anyways I’ll stop rambling and get onto my August box…

The swatches have no base or primer under them. I do that to give ya an idea on how pigmented a product is with out it. I know when I see swatches without primer it gives me an idea on how much I’ll have to work with it to give me the look I’m trying to achieve.

Here’s the box…

This is the card that came in the box. It gives the descriptions of the products and how much each product costs full size.

I like Eyeco products. I’ve gotten an eyeliner from them before and I believe it was from this box too haha. But it was a purple one last time. This one is a black one. These are the kind of liners I prefer. This retails for $16.00

This is a cream highlighter made by Kryolan. It’s a special edition specifically made for Glossybox. Kryolan has added items that were made just for Glossybox before. This is called Cashmere. This product is very sheer and not full of glitter. It gives a nice glow, as you can see from the swatches it’s not over powering or highly pigmented. It’s a nice product that I will get use out of. I like highlighters that aren’t in your face full of sparkle. Full sizes of this product costs $18.95.

This is from Lamoon Beauty, I’m not sure if I’ve ever gotten something from them or not. Though, I do hope I get more from them I like this polish. This is called Trillion Dollar Red. Then again I love reds hehe. I can’t wait to wear this. Full size of this costs $5.95.

This is Eslor Firming Collagen Day Cream. I don’t usually use a day or night cream. I’m more of a simple lotion kind of girl. I’ll give this a try. See how I like it, and hopefully it doesn’t make me break out or itch like mad like some other products have. This costs $85.00 full size.

This is Uberliss hydrating shampoo & conditioner. Okay I’m not fond of this brand at all. I’ve used it and it makes my head itch like crazy. I gave this to my mom. She tried it and said it was okay. Wasn’t as hydrating as her Victoria Secret shampoo and conditioner. This retails for $23.90 for shampoo and $25.90 for the conditioner.

So this is a win lose box. It wasn’t a jump for joy box but it wasn’t bad either. So I guess we’ll see what we get next/this month… In the box for September… I did get a sneak peek for September and we’re supposed to get They’re real mascara. Not happy about that, I already know I don’t like it. October we’re supposed to get a polish from Nails Inc. I don’t mind that, I like getting polish. Then November we’re supposed to get Juice beauty’s Green apple Age Defy Moisturizer. I like this product so I’m happy about this one… Well that’s it for this post…
