July 2014 Glossybox

0

Oh and I did get this box Friday, I’ve just slacked on posting cause of the heat in my house. I’m not kidding it’s hotter in my house then it is outside. So I try no to turn on my comp to much with the heat like this. So yeah, I’m behind on posts for that reason.

For those who don’t know Glossybox is a monthly Subscription for high end  beauty Products. It’s 21.00 a month. And you get 5-6 products in each box. These are products that are found around the world. I’ll show you what I got in my July box and if you wish to sign up too I’ll post a link at the end.

On to the box!

July 2014 Glossybox

Mitchell and Peach Body Cream. This has an interesting smell to it. I don’t know how to describe it besides being an earthy scent. Hope that makes sense. This costs $61.00 for 6.08oz, that’s full size.

dscn4701

GlamGlow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment. This is a face mask that’s suppose to exfoliate, tighten pores, smooth texture, reduce fin lines, and absorb impurities. I dunno if it does that, but it does leave your skin feeling soft. Full size of this costs $69.00 for 1.7oz.

dscn4703

Malin+Goetz Mojito lip blam. Okay, I’ve gotten this product before and I don’t like it. I don’t like smelling alcohol and this smells like a mojito. This costs $12.00 for full size .35oz.

dscn4706

Skin Inc. Custom-Blended Brightening Serum. Still testing, no opinions about this as of yet. Though, to give you an idea about it, this is supposed to help improve skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark circles. Along with dullness and dryness. Full size costs $45.00 for .34oz

dscn4709

Philip B PH Restorative Detangling Toning Mist. I’m a little nervious to try this out cause Phillip B products always make my head itch. I’ll give it a try but I might have to just back into the shower to wash it out if it makes my head itch. I dunno what they put in these products that my scalp doesn’t like but yeah… Full size costs $24.00 for 4.23oz

So that’s what I got in my July Glossybox.

July 2014 Ipsy Bag…

0

For those who don’t know, Ipsy is a monthly subscription service for beauty products. It costs $10.00 a month. And you get 4 – 5 products. The products are decent size too. Not those samples that give you 1 use or if your lucky 2 or 3 lol. They always come in a little bag that’s themed for the month. I’ve very happy with this subscription. See what I got for this month and decide if you want to sign up too… I’ll put the link at the end of the post. (^_^) Oh and another thing is when you do reviews for the products in your bag on the Ipsy site they’ll customize future bags to your liking. So if you review something and don’t like it, you will be less likely to get a product like that again. Sense doing those mini reviews, I’ve been happier with my bags (^_^).

Everything came in a hot pink fake leather bag. Pink in not my color so I gave the bag to a friend. Here’s what the bag looks like…

July 2014 Ipsy bag

Here’s what came in the bag…

5-in-1 BB Advanced Performance Cream Eyeshadow Broad Spectrum SPF 15… not sure what the name of this one is… but I think there’s a total of 8 in the line…

Fotor0717181947
Clear Clinic Laboratories Vanished Clear Spot Treatment. Not sure about this but I’ll try it…

DSCN4666
Pixi BeautyMini Tinted Brilliance Balm. I tried to swatch this but this has no color to it at all. So yeah, no swatches of this… I have no idea why they call it a tinted product when it has no tint to it…

DSCN4669
Pur~lisse pur~protect essential daily moisturizer spf 30. This is lower in spf than I normally use but it’s not a bad product. I like it and helps that I got it sense I ran out of sunscreen.

DSCN4664
Models Own Nail Polish in Red Sea. This was very jelly like when I swatched it. Though, I’m pretty sure it’s cause of  how hot it is in my house. Pretty color though, I do like reds…

Fotor071718207

So that’s what I got for this month. Can’t wait to see what I’ll get next month.

Starrlight Jewelry -&- Sanctuary review…

0

I found out about this store awhile ago. Looking for jewelry for my wedding. I didn’t find what I want looking for at the time. But I still kept an eye on this store and waited till I had money to purchase from them. I really wish I could make an order once every month but I don’t have that kind of money.
So in May when I had some extra money I ordered What’s in the box. It’s a mystery box full of different items. They have 2 different boxes you can buy, one is $15.00 and the other is $25.00. The smaller one has $30.00 worth of products and the larger one you get $50.00 worth of products in it. You don’t know what’s in the box but you can make comments on types of products you like, what colors you like/dislike, wheather you have your ears pierced or gauged. Also if you have allergies to certain metals or if you’d prefer home decor. It’s really neat.
What’s unique about not just these boxes but the store in general. A great deal of the procedes go to animal sanctuaries. With the mystery box I got, $20.00 of the $25.00 I spent went to Bat World santuary. How I know where it went is cause the money is sent to the shelter of the month. There’s a new shelter each month. May was Bat awareness month. The one for July is Joeys Feline Friends.
The shipping for the boxes veries. All products are handmade by the owner of the store. She makes these while taking care of animals for her sanctuary. So if unpredictable things happen like weather or illness it will take a little longer for your package to get to you. I ordered my box May 20 and I didn’t get it till June 23. I don’t mind waiting that long for products especially if they’re of good quality. Also I know life happens and things can get difficult. The products I got are of great quality. I love all the items I recieved. Another reason why I wasn’t upset is cause I mostly ordered this to donate. I just thought it would be nice to get a little surprise in the mail. I completely forgot about the package. When I went to the post office on my birthday I got it. It was like a birthday present to myself lol.
Anyways, I want to show you what I got in my box and I’ll put a link at the end of the post to where you can purchase from this store.

dscn4444

When I first opened the box I saw these. I really had no idea what they were at first lol. After reading the packaging I found they are really strong magnets. My husband really enjoys playing with these lol…

dscn4447

This is a ring with an adjustable band on it. It’s really cute and I’ve been wearing it almost every day sense I got it. Though, it’s a little big so it catches on some things so I usually take it off when I’m doing house work so it doesn’t break or dig into my finger.

dscn4462

I really like these earrings too. I’ve been wearing them almost everyday too.I like to wear earrings when my hair is up and it seems like it’s always like that during the summer. I took this pick with these earrings hanging off my Jack in the Box clown. I think it made a nice background hehe.

dscn4450

These are so cute, sense I’ve been wearing my hair up so much I’ve been putting these little guys right into my pony to poke out. Though, they’re a little hard to see sense my hair is dyed black lol but that’s okay I still like them.

dscn4460

This is so pretty, I’ve only worn it a couple times. I’m trying to wear more necklaces sense we don’t have any little ones trying to grab the shiny’s hanging on anyone lol.

dscn4458

Same goes for this one, but I also don’t really wear bracelets that often but I do like this one. I try to wear it. I want to start wearing more bracelets sense I don’t wear a watch anymore really. So I’m still happy with this piece (^_^).

dscn4449

haven’t been able to wear this sense I don’t have a chain for it but I am on the hunt for one. I love dog tags and the way they look. This one is so pretty! I love it!

dscn4455

Lastly I got some bath salt. Haven’t had a chance to use this yet but I really want to. It’ll be nice to soak my feet using this.

bath salt

So that’s pretty much all I got in the box, besides cards for different companies. Oh and a couple really cute post cards.

Overall I’m really happy with this Mystery box. I put everything on that I could wear at once when I got this. I will definitely order from this company again!

July 2014 Glamourdolleyes OTM…

0

For those who don’t know OTM stands for Of The Month. It’s a subscription from http://www.glamourdolleyes.com/. You can sign up to get a limited edition shadow for that month. You can only sign up on the 8th of the month. It’s not a recurring subscription. If you want to get it more than just one month you have to purchase a subscription for how many months you want. And if they’re available. There’s only a limited number of subscriptions so you kinda gotta stalk the site the day of to make sure you get one. They tend to sell out fast. This year they’re trying to make every month an extra month, but no promises. Which means you’ll get, not only the shadow but an extra item whether it be makeup based or fashion based. This month was an extra month (^_^). Oh and they include candy in all of them pretty much hehe.

So here’s what I got for July!

GDE OTM July 2014

Everything came in this silky black and white stripped bag. It’s really cute!

July 2014 OTM Bag

The color for this month is Crystal Ball. I have to say these pictures don’t do this color justice. This actually has a pinkish purple duo chrome to it. It is sooooo puuurrrtttty! I wish my camera could catch the colors in this shadow properly. I can say I’m in love (^_^).

GDE Crystal Ball

As I said this month is an extra so the extra’s everyone got are…

A lipglaze called Spellbound from http://www.shopallthatsass.com/this will be released in her shop this month. It can be purchased as a sample or full size. It’s a pinky purple lipglaze with gold sparkles in it. It makes me think of this year’s color radiant orchid. This is really pigmented and creamy. Oh and this is flavored Chocolate Cake hehe Can’t wait to use this (^_^).

ShopallthatSass Spellbound

Another extra we got this shadow called Under the Moon. It’s really pretty. This is a black with green and purple sparkle. My camera likes the purple more so ya can’t really see the green as good. As with the first color these pics don’t do the color justice this is a very pretty color.

GDE Under the Moon

And Lastly for our last extra we got a sample baggie from http://www.hellowafflecosmetics.com/in the shade Ethereal Voice. Now I love purples… So, I really like this color! OMG it’s so pretty! I’m trying to get products from other indie brands to try and I think I’ll be ordering from these guys next month when I gets moneys. hehe. This color is part of the Persinette Collection on the site. I also have to add I love the name for this company it’s really cute (^_^)

HelloWafflesCosmetics Card HWC Ethereal Voice

Oh and the candy we got is… It’s funny that I usually get a candy that I was thinking about a few days before hand lol…

Candy Bracelet

So that’s all I got for this month. Can’t wait to see what we get next month. I have to say Glamourdolleyes really knows how to make awesome OTM’s.

Bruttles Gourmet Confections…

0

dscn3989

Bruttles is a local store here in Spokane, WA. My husband noticed them while we were walking downtown. He know’s I have a weakness for sweets hehe. So we went in and it was a really cute store. It’s family owned and have been using the same recipe for 60 years. everything is still made the same way as it was back then.
Now bruttles are a really soft peanut brittle. Think of a gourmet butterfinger but better. These are so delicious. Oh and all their products are gluten-free besides the Bruttles crunch cause it contains pretzels. Which is amazing! I go there at least once a month. I’m so bad cause if I could afford to get it more often I would lol. They also do gift packs. (guess what everyone in my family is getting this Christmas hehe). I want to show you what I got in a gift pack that costs $5.75. This is one of the small ones. They do have one that costs $37.50. I’ll put a link at the end of the post to their website, if you wish to ordered some of this. Or if you live in the Spokane, WA area you can see where they are located. (^_^)
So here’s what’s in the small one I got…
It’s super cute, and comes in a see through package tied with a pretty ribbon(colors of ribbon and foil can vary)…

DSCN3994
1oz soft peanut butter brittle… 2 chocolate dipped peanut brittles… 1 soft caramel, this is soft and doesn’t stick to your teeth like most caramels…

July 2014 Julep Box…

1

Got my July Julep box. For those who don’t know Julep is a beauty subscription box. They say the first box is free but ya just gotta pay for shipping which is only $3.00. So that’s not that bad. But if you continue to get the box, I spend $21.89 per box. Though, they have added the option to completely customize your box. It’s costs $24.99 and I don’t mind not being able to completely customize what I get in my box. I just choose which style of box I want. I usually get the Bombshell box, mostly cause that one almost always has the colors I like. You also have the option to add stuff to your box for a cheaper price then on their store. Including polishes for $4.99. Let my know what you think and I’ll put a link at the end of the post if you’d like to try it out too…So here’s what I got for July…

July Julep 2014

As I said in the beginning I usually stick with the Bombshell box and that’s what I got this month. The products in the box were…

Beverly, I think I have a lot of deep berry/wine kind of colors in my collection. I can’t help it, I love darker colors.

Beverly
Lissa, I also have a weakness for blues >.<

Lissa
Bare Body Milk, this is a full size product. This normally retails for $24.00 for non-subscribers and $19.20 for subscribers. This smells really nice, it has a citrus scent to it but it’s not over powering which I like.

Body Milk

This month I added on some extra’s. Each were 4.99.

America the Beautiful. This is a beautiful glitter polish. Though, when I tried to put it on, the heat in my house was messing with the texture so it was getting really clumpy and hard to work with. So, I’m wearing Braiden(bottom picture) sense it was easier for me to work with in this heat.

America
Braiden, I couldn’t resist! I love silver polish. This one is a textured polish.

Braiden
Mystery Polish which turned out to be a polish called Cynthia. This is a nice glittery bronze polish with silver and gold sparkles.

Cynthia

And for adding 3 things to my box I got a bonus in my box. The left one is called Farrah(this one has a silk finish) and the right one is Alexandra(normal glossy finish)…

Farrah L and Alexandra R

I forgot to add in the beginning that each box you get or of you purchase things on the site, you get Jules. And with those Jules you can use them to buy thing or towards a Julep box. Those points will cover the most of the cost if not all for that box. I used my points for this box and only had to pay $10.50. Yay for saving money! lol
